Mercedes Weathers is an African American poet from Philadelphia, PA whose involvement in the arts started at an early age in her education and continued throughout her career. She is s lifelong writer, who created some of her first poems after learning to write. Her poetry has been built upon the canvas of her life, reflects her tendency toward observation and has been shared in various venues. This collection is centered around the life experiences of women of brown hues as a tribute to all of their unsaid thoughts, feelings and interpretations.
