I witnessed the Shah of Iran's "White Revolution" and the commemoration of "2500 Years of the Persian Kingdom." My unique experiences place me among the dwindling number of Iranians who have directly observed these watershed events in our nation's story. My journey spans from life in bustling cities such as Tehran to intimate moments in quaint Iranian hamlets. This narrative unfolds my life in Iran from 1951 to 1978. My story concludes with my timely move to the United States for postgraduate studies, barely escaping the onset of the Iranian Revolution.
