Debra is a retired elementary school teacher. She had always wanted to be and author and write books, but as a teacher, she never had enough time. After she retired in 2016, with 30 years in teaching, she began writing children's books in 2017 and fulfilled a lifelong dream. As a child she loved reading and animals, as a teacher she wanted to share those loves with her students. Debra also wanted to share life lessons, such as kindness, caring, and responsibility as positive character traits to those reading her books.
