When a demon attacks a village in Ancient China, a young girl is sent to a cyberpunk future. Can she ever find her way back to the past? A gripping martial arts fantasy. Ling Jinlei came from a long line of martial artists with shamanic powers. Raised in a well-respected and powerful family, Jinlei grew up in a life of privilege. But everything changes when someone her family trusts betrays them and unleashes a great evil upon their village-a demon of greed. Even Jinlei's family is powerless against this unexpected enemy. To save Jinlei's life, Jinlei's mother sends her to the future. Jinlei discovers that the demon and his allies have become the richest, most powerful and most technologically advanced corporation in the world that continues to feed its greed off the backs of the suffering people. As Jinlei tries to survive the dystopian, high-tech future, a mysterious (but handsome) stranger keeps showing up at the most unexpected times with an agenda of his own. Can Jinlei trust this stranger and find her way back to the past to prevent the bleak future from happening?
