Autorenporträt
ROCHELLE RABOUIN Author/Storyteller, Vocalist, Musician, Actress and Public Speaker Rochelle Rabouin, has come quite a long way in her careers. With the support and guidance of her family and parents she has successfully combined her love of books with her love of music. Her Mother, Dolores Lockwood -Rabouin, a librarian (the first African American to work in the state of New York as a Library page) made sure books and reading surrounded her and became a daily part of growing up. Her Father, Kenneth Rabouin, (a pioneer in Military Jazz Bands and a leading classical and Jazz musician) was the guiding force in establishing her musical foundation. From her first job as a volunteer Library page at the age of 11 to an 8 year gig as a talk show host to a performing artist currently working with Young Audiences of North Texas, Rochelle has come full circle. "SHAPES FRIENDS" is a book that was written in honor of her Father and as a thank you to him for the wonderful adventures of growing up in a military family and the gift of experiencing people from all different cultures. Rochelle lives in North Texas.
