Autorenporträt
Bettye Abrahamson was born in East Tennessee in 1936 to Leslie and Mary Evie Robinson. She was the youngest of 8 children. She was musically talented from a young age, and played anything with a keyboard as well as the guitar. She married Dan Abrahamson and had 5 children and 14 grandchildren. She and Dan eventually Pastored Home Mission churches in South Carolina and in Michigan. Bettye longed to learn to paint all her life. She was able to realize that dream in her senior years, and won blue ribbons for some of her artwork at the Berrien County 4-H Fair. She also wrote Sharecropper's Daughter in her later years. It was one of her final wishes before she passed in 2018 to have this book published. We children hope you enjoy reading her memoirs as much as we did. May this book be a blessing to any and all who read it.
