Autorenporträt
Mary Smith is Director of Parking Consulting for Walker Parking Consultants. Since joining Walker in 1975, Mary has been actively involved in all phases of parking planning and design for parking projects throughout the world. Since 2010, she has consulted on projects in Abu Dhabi, China, Dubai, Egypt, Korea, Kuwait, Indonesia, Panama, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Among her particular areas of expertise are pedestrian and vehicular circulation, wayfinding and flow capacity in mega-structures; impact of changing vehicle sizes on parking dimensions; accessible parking design; and the integration of parking management, operations and functional design. In the past few years, she has been heavily involved in researching and speaking on the impact of ride-hailing and autonomous vehicles on parking.
