"Great! As soon as Ramon slices the bread, we'll be ready. I heard Natt's stomach growl a few minutes ago, I'm sure he's hungry." Natt didn't say anything, but he could feel his cheeks start to burn from Sandy's comment. Activity moved around Natt. Sandy set the cover on the bowl of spaghetti on her lap and headed for the dining room. Ramon pulled a cutting board from the cupboard, then pulled the bread from the wrapper and started slicing the bread, while Marcy pulled the pitcher of tea from the refrigerator, went to the kitchen table and began pouring the tea over the ice in the glasses. However, Natt and Jon were like an island. Natt looked down at the baby and Jon very solemnly looked back at Natt. The baby's eyes were wide open, but there was no expression on his mouth. Natt couldn't seem to look anywhere but at the baby. He had no idea what to say or do in the situation he was in. Ramon finished cutting the bread, threw the wrapper in the trash then picked up the bread plate to follow his wife into the dining room, leaving Marcy the only other one in the kitchen. Neither of them spoke, when Jon scrunched up his face, his eyes closed, and a loud noise came from the other end. It was like a firecracker going off. Natt danced in place, looked up at the only other person in the room, the panic spreading exponentially over his face. "What - what was that? What did I do?" he gasped.

Autorenporträt
I grew up a very shy, only child and often made up stories to entertain myself. As I grew up, I determined to become a nurse and went to a small Christian college for two years with that in mind. It was there I met my future husband. Some time later we married, we had our first child and I did become a nurse. Later, we moved to Indiana and had our second child. When he went to college I started writing. I have been writing for quite some time and have two other books published. Now my two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. My dear husband has since gone to heaven, but I'm still writing.
