JM Hughson grew up in the Washington, D.C area. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from Marymount University. She had two prior careers, the first as an advertising copywriter/creative director and the second as a mental health therapist. She hopes that her third career as an author brings enjoyment to many and that her readers have as much fun reading her books as she had writing them.
