Barchelle ("Chelly") Bolger Wathen, a native San Diegan, now resides in Prescott, Arizona. She loves spending time with her husband, George (of Wathen Custom Woodcrafts), and their "fur kid" Shayla. She is a college graduate with a Master of Public Administration degree. Chelly worked almost thirty years as a paralegal/senior paralegal with the San Diego City Attorney's Office. From college term papers and thesis to legal documents and grant proposals, she always enjoyed writing. Chelly works as a NACOG Long-Term Care Ombudsman Specialist in the Prescott area. She also enjoys volunteering with local animal rescue group "DogTree Pines Senior Dog Sanctuary." When she is not writing about Shayla, working, or volunteering, she loves to hike and kayak, especially if she can enjoy these activities with Shayla through the Prescott mountains.
