Cristina Tonghini, Ph.D. (1995) in Islamic Archaeology, SOAS, London, teaches Islamic Archaeology at Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia. Her research in the field has focused on the Islamic Near East, especially on pottery production and fortified settlements.
