Renowned for her use of traditional meter, clarity of style, and originality of subject matter, this is the most complete collection of Pugh's poems to date. Including works from the past 25 years and organized chronologically, this volume features poems that are reflective, subtly persuasive, and in which themes are often subverted, truisms reversed, and cliches overthrown--revealing a skilled yet unobtrusive poetic voice at the height of her career.
