Autorenporträt
Phil Underwood is a man on a mission. That mission is to take his mistakes, misgivings, misfires and just plain missing God's best and use them to fashion a life that honestly bares God's grace and goodness. Phil is a catalyst in the formation of faith communities, a mentor to emerging leaders and a coach/consultant to pastors in the midst of redirection and clarification of what matters most - becoming the presence, personality and power of Jesus in the communities and places we find ourselves. A self-designated failure who is finding redemption in amazing places, Phil loves to partner with other humans who have replaced performance with pursuit of the highest calling - to be fully human in the reflection of the God who created us. Phil currently serves as a member of the ChurchNEXT reFocusing team, a collective of Church Resource Ministries. He also serves, with Sherry, his partner and wife, as the founding members of Bluewater, a faith community in the Florida Keys. Phil is a father to three adult daughters, Andrea and her husband, Andy McMahon (parents of grandkids Gemma, Levi and Phoebe), Alexis and Amanda. He is also proud to boast Sherry's sons, Darren and his wife, Candace Echols (parents of Elliott and Emory), and Drew Echols as his family. Phil is the son of the late Rev. J. Roland Underwood and Dr Maire Phillips Underwood
