The book is a legal and policy analysis of laws, regulations, policies, and jurisprudence on Uganda's industrially processed fats, edible oils, and their addition to food practices. The analysis found out that Trans Acids' (TFAs) legal, policy, land litigation precedents were none existent and then probed the existing legislative or regulatory shifts and those that needed to be amended to allow TFA regulation in Uganda to benefit the East African partners and like markets being created as a result of the evolving Eeconomic blocs, East African Community, notwithstanding. Relevant institutional mandates explored included: the Uganda National Bureau of Standards, Uganda Revenue Authority, and the National Drug Authority with Ministries of Health, Trade, industry, and cooperatives as the Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government with the regulatory, monitoring, and enforcing mandate derived from the constitution, statutory, regulations, rules et al.
