Growing up in big sky Montana Shima Shanti's life has followed a circuitous path, full of rich and varied experiences that have touched her in unexpected ways: as a young adult in the tumultuous rock-n-roll '70s, a mother and wife of 44 years, and a successful executive in the corporate world. Her journey did not stop in her 60s. This author of six books has become a nationally recognized encaustic fine artist. She never planned to become an abstract impressionistic painter. However, years after moving to the coast of California Shima felt that unrelenting desire that all artists have to create.
