Autorenporträt
Kieran York is the author of lesbian fiction and poetry. She authored the lesbian mystery series featuring Royce Madison in the mid-1990s. Timber City Masks and Crystal Mountain Veils were reissued in 2014-2015 by Scarlet Clover Publishers LLC. In the late 1980s, York wrote a collection of lesbian short stories entitled Sugar With Spice. In 2012, her book of fiction, Appointment with a Smile, was published and was a 2013 Lambda Literary Society Award Finalist in the Romance category. Her next novel, Careful Flowers, was released in 2013. Both books were published by Blue Feather Books, and second editions republished by Scarlet Clover Publishers. In 2014, Scarlet Clover Publishers LLC, released Earthen Trinkets and Night Without Time. In 2015, Loitering on the Frontier and Touring Kelly's Poem were published. York was also a contributor in Sappho's Corner Poetry Series - Wet Violets, Volume 2; Roses Read, Volume 3; Delectable Daisies, Volume 4; and Fallen Petals, Volume 5. In 2014, her volume of poetry, Blushing Aspen, was published as the Sappho's Corner Solo Poet book of poetry. Previously, during the seventies, and eighties, Kieran worked as a reporter and reviewer for both newspaper and magazine and was a magazine publisher for three years. She also wrote and performed songs with a women's band. She has been guest lecturer and panel member at various events, including Rocky Mountain Book Exhibition, Colorado Musicians Series, Sisters in Crime Mystery Writers, and Mystery Writers of America, Inc. She is a member of Lambda Literary Society and Golden Crown Literary Society. She has written for Journal of Mystery Readers International. In addition, she has given numerous campus and coffeehouse readings, as well as taught poetry and creative writing workshops. York graduated from a Kansas university and attended Mexico's University of the Americas her junior year. She has done - not completed, graduate work at the University of Colorado. Kieran lives in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Colorado with her schnauzer, Clover. She enjoys gardening, music, literature, and art.
