Jörg Helbig, Studium der Anglistik, Romanistik und Philosophie; Promotion 1987, Habilitation 1994; 1985 bis 2004 Dozent an den Universitäten FU Berlin, Halle-Wittenberg, Trier, HU Berlin und Köln; seit 2004 Professor für Anglistische und Amerikanistische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft an der Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt; zahlreiche literatur- und medienwissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen.
