The term Sho' Ya' Love was coined by the late, great Don Cornelius on the 1970's classic dance show Soul Train. Couples dancing hand in hand not only showed off their signature moves but also showcased their lovely partners. This is a rarity today with many of our children not seeing true love. Agape Voice pays homage to couples of the past and present in this anthology, who gave us a glimpse of what love is. Some of the stories are fictional yet all of them are based on love. There is no shame, disgrace, or embarrassment in love. And this short book shows how it has been exemplified over the years. Three years in the making, this book serves as the first of many to come. Entrepreneur, minister and author Dearest Price has shared her long genealogical lineage to show readers that not only does love last the test of time but it's for everyone. So, Sho' Ya' Love. "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth." 1 Corinthians 13:4

Autorenporträt
First, I want to give thanks to God for this awesome charge to write. This is a first for Agape Voice Publishing LLC and hopefully will set a trend. I was hesitant about this piece because at the time of gathering information for the project, I was going through a painful divorce, was displaced and depressed. I didn't feel love in my life. The date of release continued to be set back as several passed away before even seeing the project complete. Then with the onset of COVID-19 and racial uprising, I truly felt like giving up. I had entered another relationship, that didn't know how to show love. I just couldn't find a way to release this piece. It was not until I forgave. I had to forgive my ex-husbands and I hold onto what was beautiful in both of those unions. I had to forgive an ex-lover, or this project would never see completion. I just had to forgive. And then one of the most important individuals in life my died. This person that showed their love every time I was in their presence. Yet, God showed up for this transition and whenever God shows up, love shows up. Gathering these stories taught me that God is always present and that I am an anthologist. I would like to thank the couples and authors that participated. Thank you for your transparency, patience, and commitment to the process. Many rejected or ignored the call, but these couples stepped out to create extraordinary works. It is my desire that this piece blesses you all as much as it blessed me. I would like to thank the many contributors. Without your seed, this project would not have been possible. Shamaiye Hayes, Brian Richardson, Jennifer Rivers, Sorina Knight- Haddock, Roxie McNabb, Julie O Wadley, George Maschos, Ukeme Barnes, Adrienne James, Yolanda Nicholas-Crowder, Bernard Robinson Jr., Lisa Buford - Armbrister, April A. Carter, Zealous Dev, Crisis Ministries and so many more. I would like to thank by team, my editor, Melissa L. Lewis of Melissa L. Lewis Consulting, Thomas Adams of Buzz Ur Brand and Victoria Cooper of LOE. This book was truly inspired by the loss of my grandma Alma, my homeboy from High School, Reggie, one of my besties Melody, Omar Bunch, my warrior friend and my business bestie, Rhonda Baker. Lastly, I would like to thank my Daddy. He my mommy and I know God has such a love for me. I pray for healing for all the families who have lost loved ones during this season. I pray that you continue to Sho' Ya' Love. ~ Dearest Price, CEO of Agape Voice Publishing LLC
