Normal physiology is the final educational discipline in the section of pre-clinical medical and biological education of students, which is organically associated with biology, biophysics, biochemistry, anatomy, histology on the one hand and with pathological physiology, pharmacology and propedeutic clinical disciplines on the other hand. The discipline should be taught on the basis of an analytic-synthetic approach to assessing the various functions of a healthy organism in terms of their mechanisms and regulation. The presented short course systematises the main terms, definitions and concepts used in the course on normal physiology, taking into account the latest achievements in this area. The material of the tutorial is presented briefly, intelligibly and methodically competently. This manual can be used not only by students of TSMU, but also at the biological faculties of other universities.
