This book will kick up a lot of "religious" dust in all of us. It's what we do when the dust settles and our eyes are opened that will determine where we go from here. It is only when we see Him, that we see our destiny. We must not get offended with the truth. The truth is the only thing that will set us free. The enemy is behind offenses, as he does not want us to reach our destiny. Each one of us has a marvelous, unique destiny marked out by the price Christ paid for it. Hebrews 12:1b puts it simply, "Let us lay aside every weight and sin which does so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." We would all agree that the church has a message for the world, but would we all agree that the world has a message for the church? They, most assuredly, do. Their cries identify the reason Christ came to earth as a man and became the sacrifice for those cries. For every cry, there is a provision in His sacrifice. Has the church in general disclosed the real Christ and His sacrifice that brings wholeness and purpose for all people; regardless of denomination, race and background? The world is crying out to the church, "Show Me This Man Called Jesus"! This book reveals truths to the world and the church that will awaken "hope" in both. Hope awakened in the church will bring her out of law into grace. Hope awakened in the world will bring the world to Christ!Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Jean Preston was born in a small southern community, Donalsonville, Georgia. Everybody knew everybody. She had a very normal, happy childhood. There was so much she did not know; but one thing she did know was that her Father and Mother loved her. She found out soon that the "world out there" was not like her Father and Mother. She graduated from a nearby college, Valdosta State College in Valdosta, Georgia, with a B. S. Degree in the easiest major they had, Secretarial Science. In her own words, "I absolutely despised studying and reading books, I'd much rather be socializing with family and friends." After college, she discovered working in various offices was invigorating in keeping her in touch with a variety of people; and actually was a good secretary wherever she was employed. Still, no real interests, except in the boundaries of the familiar. She eventually married her high school sweetheart, traveling extensively. In 1970, she and her two small children traveled 13,000 miles to join her husband in the US Air Force stationed in Okinawa. The turning point in her life was on this island as she embarked on the "unfamiliar". She became a Christian and has not put her Bible down since and refuses to settle for the "status quo" Christian life―no matter the cost! She is well aware of her own need to continue growing as a Christian and has taught the Word many years with a passion to see others grow with her. Her emphasis in her teaching is the importance of renewing the mind to the grace of God and letting go of "religious "mind-sets that hinders one from reaching their purpose in life. This is her second book.
