Kate F. C. Gillin is chair of the Department of History at The Pomfret School, a college preparatory school in Connecticut. Dr. Gillin was awarded the Caroline Ray Hovey �67 Master Teachership and the Award for Teaching Excellence from The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. She has been nominated for a National Honor Role�s Outstanding American Teacher Award and a Disney American Teacher Award. She has also been honored with the Recognition for Teaching Excellence from The National Society of High School Scholars.
