Wennan Wang (b. 1981), professor associado de Composição na Universidade Normal de Chongqing, recebeu o seu doutoramento em composição musical e teoria pela Universidade Estatal da Louisiana em 2012. Recebeu vários prémios, comissões e escreveu muitas peças a solo, de câmara e para orquestra. A sua música tem sido executada em todo o mundo.
