Born in 1954, Jane Sinclair grew up surrounded by art and artists. Her parents, Jean Langley and John Sinclair, were part of the early modern art scene in Melbourne and were particularly close to John and Sunday Reed. Jane was a painter for many years before starting to write and discovering that writing was her new obsession.
