With two real-life searches under her collar, Sierra the Search Dog is already a hero in her town. She and her human partner Bryce have practiced and practiced, and gotten even better at Search and Rescue (SAR) work. Now they'll be put to the test a third time when sweet Sally goes missing on a trip to the shore. Sierra the Search Dog Saves Sally is the third children's book in the Sierra the Search Dog series. Having saved the young Betty in Sierra Becomes a Search Dog, sniffed out the barefooted Fred in Sierra the Search Dog Finds Fred, Sierra is now ready to put her nose back to work serving those in need! In this story, told with alliterative prose and colorful illustrations, Sally heads to the seashore to look for shells. When Sally doesn't return, her sister Sarah and the girls' father call on Sierra to investigate. Will our little search pup get a snootful of success and see that Sally returns to her loving family safely? The Sierra the Search Dog series of books is inspired by the author's own experience training and leading SAR dogs, and is dedicated to the memory of his real-life canine partner.
