Autorenporträt
Jaime Peñafiel nació en Granada. Tras estudiar Derecho optó por abordar Periodismo y su primer encargo fue en Europa Press, donde cubrió el viaje de Pablo VI. Le siguieron las coronaciones de Juan XXIII, Juan Pablo I y Juan Pablo II. Estuvo presente en los terremotos de Perú, Irán y Agadir, la guerra de los Seis Días, la guerra entre Argelia y Marruecos y otros conflictos bélicos. Fue testigo de los funerales de Federico de Dinamarca, Grace Kelly, Diana de Gales, Husein y el sah de Persia. Ha asistido a más de cincuenta bodas reales y a las coronaciones del sah y su esposa Farah Diba, Juan Carlos I, el emperador Bokassa, Beatriz de Holanda, Margarita de Dinamarca, Carlos Gustavo de Suecia, Harald de Noruega y Constantino de Grecia. En su currículo destacan los veintidós años que fue redactor jefe de la revista ¡Hola!, director de La Revista, adjunto a la dirección de El Independiente y colaborador de COPE, Telemadrid, Antena 3 TV, La Estrella Digital y Republica.com. Desde hace veinte años colabora en la revista Pronto y ha sido columnista en El Mundo hasta la publicación de Letizia y yo. En la actualidad ha trasladado su exitosa su columna a OkDiario. Entre sus libros destacan Dios salve a la Reina, Dios salve también al Rey, Retrato de un matrimonio, Los tacones de Letizia, Reinas y princesas sufridoras y La amante de sus maridos.
