Hyrum lives in Washington State with his wife and four children and works as an engineer. He grew up in the desert of Utah to a large family. After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.S. in chemistry, he acquired an advanced degree in chemical engineering at Oregon State University where he fell in love with the Northwest and has stayed ever since.
