Anna Facibeni is assistant professor at the Center of NanoEngineered Materials and Surfaces (NEMAS), Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, since 1999. She has taken up diverse projects involving development of antibacterial fabrics or treatments for fabrics serving various purposes. Dr Facibeni has also tested the effectiveness of silver nanoparticles against electromagnetic radiation, the application of phase change material (PCM) product to fibers in the manufacturing of smart textiles, and the implementation of the process of manufacturing natural or synthetic fibers containing silver nanoparticles.
