The Singapore Hit Awards 2005 is a music award held on 4 November 2005 as part of the annual Singapore Hit Awards organised by the top Mandarin radio station in Singapore, Y.E.S. 93.3FM in association with the Recording Industry Association (Singapore). A total of 26 awards in the 12th edition of the awards held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre halls 601 and 602. Two new awards were given out, namely the Best Band and the Best Composing Artist awards. As has been done for the previous two years, the station conducted online polls for its range of Most Popular Regional Artist Awards in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. The Best Local Artist award was split into two for each gender as the number of deserving nominations increased over the years, and to prevent the need to hand out two awards as was done in 2003.
