A lighthearted and entertaining memoir, this book follows Edmund Bohan's international singing career. Mostly based in Britain, Bohan sang more than 170 different major choral, operatic, and orchestral works, and broadcasted regularly. Richly anecdotal and enlivened with pen-portraits of memorable personalities--from the musical and literary to the academic--Singing Historian chronicles a singer and writer's lifetime of achievement with wit and a sharply observant eye.
