Autorenporträt

Ji¿í Franta is a Master of Fine Arts, visual artist and illustrator based in Prague. He has been drawing and painting all his life. Devoted to painting, he is also involved with installation art, objects or video productions. He is a member of the Rafani art group and partner in the Franta-Böhm art duo as well as founder of the comics magazine KIX. He has exhibited in the Czech Republic and abroad and has been the finalist for the prestigious Jind¿ich Chalupecký Award several times, won Magnesia Litera Award for best Children Book in 2015.
