The story is told through the lives of a series of characters, some new to 3.0, as well as a few from the two previous books in the Singularity Trilogy. As in all three novels, the science is based on existing theories and facts gleaned from documented articles, books and papers, as well as theoretical explorations in progress at this moment in history.
