Autorenporträt
Lois Swann, author of contemporary and historical fiction, has fulfilled the promise of her first two novels, THE MISTS OF MANITTOO and TORN COVENANTS, with SIPPICON. Her authoritative voice on eighteenth century life won her the Ohioana Library Association Award for First Novels. A Dutch Edition of that novel followed. A distinguishing feature of her historical work is her use of the Narragansett language as integral to the mythic tale. Ms. Swann, a native New Yorker, lives and works on Cape Cod.
