Mark Colt was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Mark went to University and studied Political Science, but left the program due to complications with his vision. Mark suffered retinal detachment, retinal tears and later, macular degeneration. After eye surgery, Mark began working for the family business and in 1999 founded a retail company, despite his low vision disability. Mark opened a retail in 2002. A business owner for 20 years, Mark decided to put fingers to keyboard and began to write at the age of 44. In 2021, four years after starting his book, Mark self-published his first novel entitled Six Bullets.
