Leah or Nana is a mom and grandmother to 4 grandkids Hailey Lynn Barrett, Guinevere Anna Hawkins, Phoenix Orion Hawkins and Brady Raiden Burns. She lives near Harpers Ferry, West Virginia with her loving husband of forty-one years and counting. They were married on April Fool's day. She graduated from Radford University in 1981. She taught French and Spanish, but by a mutual decision she and her husband determined she should resign and take care of their own brood when they were little. Once they reached school age she worked as a store manager, insurance agent and then a security escort and receptionist for Lockheed Martin. She worked for Hobby Lobby Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Five Sunrisesin Leesburg, Virginia her dream job. One of her favorite pastimes is crochet. She loved getting yarn extra cheap with her employee discount.She never has, nor ever will, stop believing in Santa Claus. He represents the "spirit" of giving. She strives to keep the Christmas spirit in her heart all year long. She also steadfastly believes all stuffed animals are endowed with "magical wish". She firmly believes "Stuffies" most fervent hope is to be hugged and loved by a child. One of the greatest joys in life to her is to hug the stuffing out of her own grandkids as well as any other little ones who end up on her lap from time to time.
