All this in small vignettes gathered by two retired teachers who began traveling to the British Isles when they retired from teaching. A three seek trip to Scotland to celebrate retirement has turned into a love affair with Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and a growing fascination with England. Bob Jones is a retired high school speech and debate teacher who has authored or co-authored five books on public speaking and numerous articles on forensics, backpacking, sled dog racing, golf, Scotland, and travel. For two years he wrote a column In Historic Scotland Magazine (Edinburgh) with quarterly features about Historic Scotland properties from the visitor's perspective.
