A New Jersey native and published author under the name of Georgia Faye, Phyllis T. Morgan lives on an old motor yacht in the San Diego Bay. Her career in education has spread over a fifty-year period, covering three states and several countries, including seven years as a fifth and sixth grade teacher in Sydney, Australia. Her last twenty-five years as an educator was in the Oceanside, California school system. As a leader, she has been recognized for major awards ranging from community to global development including: Chamber of Congress Administrator of the Year, San Diego Administrator of Zero Waste programs, STEM school development, innovative farm-to-table programs with 'Go Green Agriculture, ' San Diego Administrative Technology Award, San Diego Science Alliance Innovative Principal of the Year, Prize Principal by Point Loma Nazarene University, and two California Distinguished School Awards, which ultimately earned her the title of Principal of the Year for Southern California, San Diego and Imperial Valley. She returned to the school district after retiring to work on Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways being developed by the State of California and the County of San Diego.The proud mother of two amazing sons and six beautiful grandchildren, Phyllis continues to pursue an adventurous life traveling the world and working with international volunteer programs in: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and West Kenya. In each country, she sets up chess clubs and teaches students about the nuances of life and learning English through this ancient analytical game. Phyllis finished her first novel, Down Under (under pen name Georgia Faye), after being published as a contributing author in The Pivot Project and A Path to Purpose.
