Sissel Waage, Ph.D. Award-winning author, environmental scientist, and advisor to companies, NGOs, as well as foundations. Her articles have been published in The Economist, The Guardian, Environmental Leader, GreenBiz, and Environmental Finance, as well as in scientific, peer-reviewed research journals. She has also edited two books - including, Ignition: What You Can Do to Fight Global Warming and Spark a Movement (Island Press, 2007), and Ants, Galileo, and Gandhi: Designing the Future of Business through Nature, Genius, and Compassion (Routledge, 2003) - and created The ForestGirls book series, which depicts capable girls and women, from around the world, who are innovating and regenerating ecological systems. With a background in architecture, Ana combines attention to detail with playful imagery to engage young audiences. Her love for nature and experience with seeing the world from above, while gliding, offers a unique vantage point on how people and landscapes co-exist, which Ana brings to her paintings.
