Autorenporträt
Jane Powell has a BA in Anthropology, MA in Education, and works as a freelance writer in Golden, BC. She is also an alumna of Ville Marie Social Services and Youth Horizons (now Batshaw Youth and Family Centres) in Montreal. Jane wrote Butterflies in the System to raise awareness of the challenge teens face while in youth protection, where they are subjected to variable and often unethical care. She wrote her first novel, Sky-Bound Misfit, to highlight the effects of sexual assault on teens. Jane's favourite form of writing is storytelling. Her novels bring readers on a journey into the past, filled with adventure, sorrow, laughter and hope.
