Now considered a classic in the fields of menstrual studies and women's spirituality, Her Blood Is Gold has been updated twice and translated into several languages. The book continues to inspire women around the world to develop awareness of their menstrual cycle and to practice self-care during menstruation. She holds a PhD in menstrual management and organization, for which she researched reusable menstrual products and menstruation in the workplace. She has worked for global institutions, universities, and the third sector as a consultant and researcher on menstruation, menopause, and women's wellbeing and rights more broadly.
