Autorenporträt
Delores Anderson-Carter's love for learning, teaching and serving others began with her parents. Both of her parents highly valued education and both were accomplished musicians. She grew up in a home filled with books, music, and encouragement to thirst for knowledge and education. Delores was reared in the small city of Terre Haute, Indiana. Her childhood was typical in a close family with 3 protective brothers. By the age of sixteen, she knew that she wanted to be a teacher of young children. She maintains that teaching is an important and honorable profession all over the world. She believes that children are the most important group of people on the planet and special attention should be given to them before they are born. The author's university years were filled with studying and working in the offices of a local hospital. Amidst graduation, graduate school, and post graduate studies, Delores continues to live in Indiana. She became a teacher, married her college sweetheart, became a principal, and an education consultant. Delores is the proud mother of a daughter and two sons who also value education and a productive life for themselves and their children. Her loving grandchildren bring inspiration, joy and laughter to her and her family.
