Anthony "Dpan" Francis first began learning to play the steel pan instrument at the young age of nine. After attending the 'Notting Hill Carnival with his mother at age five, where he first saw and heard his father's band the Ebony Steelband play, from that day onwards he was captivated and mesmerized by the beautiful sound of the instrument and the culture of "Trinidad and Tobago. So began his lifelong journey of playing, teaching, arranging, and producing music with the only instrument invented in the 20th century: the Steel Pan. This is his first book in the series of 'Sky's Steelband Adventures' and one of many to be written about his love for the Steelband.
