Chronic pain is looked at in some detail since it strongly impacts sleep quality but some mattresses and the menopause increase bodily heat when a lowering of body temperature is needed to initiate the first stage of sleep. All in all, a great book for discovering the numerous factors which can negatively impact sleep and, more importantly, what you can do about it.
