Joe McClain Jr. was born and raised in the Harborside section of East Chicago, Indiana. After graduating from East Chicago Central High School in 2002, he enlisted in the United States Navy and relocated to San Diego, California. He has been to nineteen countries to include Spain, Italy, Dubai, Guam and the Philippines. He authored his first book, "The Writer's Block", in 2013 and followed it up with "BANDAGES," released in early 2015. Aside from writing, he is also a well seasoned poet who has shared the stage with numerous def jam artists and has opened for r&b soul artists Dwele, Jon B. and Joe.
