About the Author: Penelope Northrop Broberg has been writing since childhood. She studied creative writing at Hartford College for Women, Hartford, Ct., The New School in New York City and Long Ridge Writers Group, West Redding, Ct. She also studied landscape architecture at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and landscape design at Clock House School of Garden Design, West Sussex, England and La Napoule Art Foundation, La Napoule, France. She lives in the Rocky Neck Art Colony overlooking the beautiful harbor of Gloucester, Massachusetts. From her home in Gloucester, she has been able to successfully combine a commercial and residential landscape design business with having a great, great time writing fiction for children. This is the first collaboration of children stories that she has undertaken with her son as illustrator. About the Illustrator: Craig V. Broberg Jr. earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He also studied architecture at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. and illustration at Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI. He lives in the woods of central Massachusetts with his wife Joanne, son Bryce, daughter Cassie, two dogs and two cats.
