Slim Jim is my third fictional book, following The Lives of Little Horse and Traveler and Eagle's Nest. I have also authored three nonfiction books, Mother's Six Marines, Then, Now, and Beyond: The Story of My Life, and The Toughest Guy in the Bar, coauthored by my son, Patrick, who was a bar bouncer at the time, and a children's book, A Snail Named Slick, coauthored by my daughter, Aleta. I am ninety-six years of age and enjoying a wonderful retirement at O'Connor Woods in Stockton, California.
