Karen West is a native-born New Zealander and romance novelist under the pseudonym Kate Westwood. After completing a Master's degree at University of Auckland at age 42, she moved with her three sons to Australia. When she is not writing historic romances, playing boogie woogie and classical piano, and hiking in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, you'll find her curled up, cup of hot cocoa in hand, reading or writing poetry, or writing her blog, Girl/Cat/Typewriter.
