The study is framed in the -macro- plane, within the human geography that takes the actions carried out by society in a certain space, to try to understand and explain the causes that these generate. Following this line, the aim of this work is to analyze from a geographical point of view the different reasons why the Small Producers of the colony Loma San Pablo, belonging to the town of General Manuel Belgrano (Province of Formosa, Argentina) are "rooted" to practices that were inherited and that hypothetically anchor them to remain in the lowest stratum of this rural pyramid, in order to understand and provide a tool to change this situation. It is not only a question of looking for the reason for this rootedness, but it is also an attempt to show why it is difficult for a small agricultural producer to "adapt" to these modern times. For this purpose, social aspects were taken into account (educational level, number of inhabitants per establishment, age, etc.) as well as productive aspects (occupation condition of the establishment, number of hectares, predominant production/s, commercialization, etc.).
