In this work we will try to detail the different parameters of the smile and to clarify preconceived ideas about dental photography. In the first part, we will detail the aesthetic references and the methods of analyzing the smile. In a second part, we will detail the major interests of photography in the dental office and in the prosthesis department and we will simplify the technical aspects by focusing on the knowledge necessary for the choice of its equipment and for daily practice in dentistry.
