Snakebite is one of the most life-threatening conditions that kill millions of people every year and deteriorated the life conditions of many due to amputation and other long-term disabilities. Unlike other diseases and conditions, snakebite is very complex and its diagnostics and treatment are very challenging due to many variables. In the current book, we have presented comprehensive information about the epidemiology of snakebite, venom evolution, venom chemistry, venom variability, venomics (venom proteomics), challenges, and advances in snake bite diagnostics and therapeutics. We have also highlighted many important issues related to snake envenomation. Finally, a discussion on the future road map to address problems and challenges associated with this complex problem is delineated.
