Clauss, poet and novelist, was inspired to write this tale in honor of two black and white cats in her family (who actually have the same problems as the characters!). She has also written Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels and a series of Christian devotional booklets. She lives with her husband and children along with their cats (a black, a silver-grey, a calico, a dark tortoiseshell, and a black and white) in the Dallas, Texas area.

Happily married wife of a clock guy, the proud mother of two adult children, and willing co-inhabitant with the family cats, she lives in the Dallas, Texas area.
